Colorful Stained Glass with Nature in mind! All Original designs...
These doors were designed and sandblasted by me for the entrance to the Interior Spa at the Halls's Mansion, located in Joplin MO. Don Briggs Architecture designed the house and surrounding racehorse yard and barns. This is the definition of an Estate!
The open doors here show off the interior of the Spa. The border glass is copperfoil stained glass method - gold/white/blue border. The doors themselves are stage sandlasted with a deep etch and a frosted layer.
A 3M adhesive material is applied to the glass, the design is drawn onto the green masking, and then using an exacto knife the design is physically cut out. The deepest to be etched areas are pulled out and revealed to the air so that sandblasting can begin!
A closeup of one of the ladies heads showing the 2 stages of etch. . .upon completion of all etching, the green masking is removed which shows the original clear glass surrounding the etched areas.
The view from inside the Spa room looking at the etched doors.
The Hall's Estate is extensive and beautiful. Thank you to Donna and Gary Hall for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful home.
